Turkish Republic 100 Years Old

The Republic of Turkey was officially established on October 29, 1923. This date is celebrated annually as Republic Day (Cumhuriyet Bayramı) in Turkey, commemorating the proclamation of the Turkish Republic and the end of the Ottoman Empire. On this day, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, became its first president, and significant political and social reforms were initiated to modernize and secularize the country. As of September 11, 2023, the Turkish Republic is 99 years old. Its centenary, marking 100 years since its establishment, will be celebrated on October 29, 2023.
